Disturbed almost beyond measure by the increasing violence and permissiveness in our society, the noted psychoanalyst Karl Menninger cudgelled his brain to find a solution, and he has written a new proposal to treat the current social disorders. The new proposal, however, is a return to the theological doctrine of sin and self-punishment, penitence, and an overt acknowledgment that the sins listed in the Bible are still sins.
