"Everything a Student Should Know About Infectious Diseases But Never Learned" might well be the title of this delightfully easy-to-read book by Cluff and Johnson. In this day of heavy, bulky, obsessively complete textbooks that innundate the quick-to-be-graduated medical student with more facts than he can ever hope to record, these authors have managed to compile a pleasantly lightweight, easily carried, hardback that contains an astounding number of good, related essays emphasizing principles and concepts, rather than descriptions of diseases. Every student interested in the clinical management of infectious diseases should have this text in his library.
