Given the complexity of the human eye, there is little wonder that it is afflicted by myriad anomalies, many of which are inherited. These inherited anomalies form the main subject of this excellent new volume. Its contents should have broad appeal in that the eye disorders often serve merely as points of departure for discussions on current genetic topics. For example, hereditary diseases are included in which the eye is only one minor component of the genetic syndrome.
