Serious students of reproductive physiology will value Greep's efforts in bringing together a large body of information describing consequences of endocrine manipulations on the morphology and function of mammalian female gonads and gonadal accessories. Most of the subject matter is critically if not exhaustively discussed. For many persons, this volume will provide a reasonable introduction to unfamiliar areas of reproductive endocrinology. The contents of each chapter are outlined in a fashion that facilitates access to specific topics, and numerical references in the text are arranged alphabetically in the bibliography.
