For years classes of medical students have appreciated Robbins' presentation of pathology, for he has developed to near perfection the blending of basic concepts of disease with classical pathology and its clinical relevance. It is this style that has made previous editions of Pathology so popular in the past. A competing text for the attention of our students, Robbins and Angell's Basic Pathology, is now available. This book presents many of the same fundamental principles considered in Robbins' larger book in a more concise but still highly readable form. One must weigh then between its lower cost ($13.75) and convenience
