Dr. Meyer and Appleton-Century-Crofts are to be congratulated for laying out a textbook that conveys a bright clarity of line with excellent educational principles. This 451-page minitome is directed towards the student at an early point of entry into a medical or paramedical career. The words are light and flow; the scheme is consistent throughout. Review questions following chapters and the up-to-date (as current as 1973) selected readings show the author's understanding of the educational process.
