The intense interest of physicians and investigators in new and relatively unexplored areas of medicine was reflected by the broad participation in the second international symposium on fluorescein angiography held in Tokyo in 1972. Eighty-nine participants from 12 countries presented papers, and these papers make up the text of Fluorescein Angiography. Fluorescein angiography, a method for viewing the circulation of intravenous injected fluorescein dye within the ocular structures, is now firmly established as a method for evaluating both the normal and disease state of the eye.
