Nine chapters of this 152-page book represent the papers presented at the first session of the third conference on Recent Advances in Bio-Medical Engineering held in Cardiff, Wales, in April 1973. Three invited chapters have been added to round out the subject matter. Although the nine original papers are well done, taken as a whole they have limited appeal and apply primarily to delivery and technical problems as they exist in Great Britain.
