As the report of my performance in the 1974 Medical Knowledge Self-Assessment Program (MK-SAP III) indicated certain deficiencies, I was pleased to receive Current Diagnosis 4 shortly thereafter. To assess its "knowledge" and to check on my incorrectly answered items, I selected about 50 of the latter, which required diagnostic information (not therapy), and then searched for answers. As one might have predicted, Current Diagnosis 4 scored fairly well, providing the essential information on many of the topics. Several subjects and syndromes were not mentioned, however, and the discussion of other diagnoses was inadequate and lacked the specific details needed
