The ileocecal region is commonly affected in a variety of diseases of the alimentary tract, and precise radiologic definition of its morphologic alterations often provides clues to specific diagnoses. This monograph testifies to the importance of this area in radiologic diagnosis.
The authors provide excellent discussions accompanied by superb illustrations. They emphasize differential diagnosis, radiologic-pathologic correlation and current concepts, and the text is comprehensive and stimulating. The six chapters deal with congenital anomalies, ileocecal valve, appendix, and inflammatory neoplastic and miscellaneous lesions. References are cited throughout and there are approximately 250 illustrations.
