Medical students and family practitioners will find this textbook both a good introduction to dermatology and a useful reference in daily practice. It is up to date and has convincing photographs of clinical lesions. The microscopic features of many dermatoses are discussed in short paragraphs; histopathology is, however, fundamentally a visual discipline and the utility of such verbal description is weakened by the lack of photomicrographs of biopsy specimens.
Most of the text is divided into chapters on specific diseases, such as psoriasis, or groups of diseases, such as the fungal infections, skin tumors, and immunologic diseases. In each of
