The reader is well advised to read the preface to the first edition and the instructions before starting into this excellent programmed introduction to vectorcardiography. To the first edition (1969) the authors have added several chapters. These additions include the hemiblocks, electrical ischaemia, the maximal QRS vector, and the STT loop in the horizontal plane. They enchance the value of the text considerably. Unfortunately, there are several minor errors in the assembly and printing that detract and distract, but all could be corrected by the publisher's providing a supplementary insert.
