The purpose of the International Review of Physiology is to present in-depth, accurate, up-to-date, and critical reviews of selected topics in the field of physiology. To keep abreast of new developments in the areas covered, a new volume will be published every two years. Considering the rapid proliferation of basic clinical research in reproductive physiology, a volume devoted to this subject is welcome.
