Any book that purports to discuss primarily specific treatment regimes and side-effects of given drugs is bound to be obsolete by the time it is printed, let alone a few years later. This would appear to be particularly true of clinical cancer chemotherapy. The editor of this text has wisely entered a disclaimer to that effect while guiding the reader through the labyrinth of modern chemical agents used singly, in combination, sequentially, and in cycles in cancer management.
