To the editor: Recent reports (1, 2) of varieties of "recall phenomena" associated with adriamycin administration prompt us to describe a similar event in a patient given daunomycin after adriamycin.
A 28-year-old woman was found on routine examination to have a 3-cm mass in her right anterior cervical triangle. After the mass enlarged during observation, an excisional biopsy showed a diffuse, poorly differentiated, lymphocytic lymphoma. The tumor was invading the surrounding soft tissue. Staging procedures (including bilateral iliac crest biopsies, a lymphangiogram, a gallium scan, and a staging laparotomy) failed to show disease outside of the clinically involved area. Because
