In recent years, several textbooks of gastroenterology dealing with gastrointestinal disorders in adults have appeared. This book is a timely contribution to the available literature in gastroenterology. Many of the clinical observations in this monograph are based on the author's personal experience in Australia and in England. The reader is provided with an adequate number of pertinent references.
Although in the preface the author states that his purpose with this book is to provide a review of diseases of the small intestine in children, with emphasis on clinical features, current diagnostic techniques, and management, this goal is not entirely reached
