Acute and chronic respiratory illnesses comprise a large segment of diseases affecting children. This book is therefore timely in filling a void and in providing a continuum between Dr. Avery's treatise on The Lung and Its Disorders in the Newborn Infant and several good texts on adult respiratory disorders.
