Busy physicians often find use for an up-to-date therapeutic manual. There are several in use in the United States, and Current Medical Treatment, now in its fourth edition, may be the best of those published in England. The editor is C. W. H. Havard, physician and endocrinologist at two London hospitals, and author of four of the chapters. The other 24 authors are for the most part London specialists, although four are from elsewhere in Great Britain and two are Canadians.
Each of the 25 chapters is really a didactic essay, with introductory material of a general nature and
