The author's intent in this monograph is to illustrate the use of ultrasound methods for diagnosis of peripheral, arterial, and venous disorders. The physical principles underlying these methods are described in a comprehensive initial chapter. The remaining three chapters discuss methods and their clinical use in arterial and venous systems. The text is concise and lucid.
The major shortcomings of this monograph relate to the limited supply of case illustrations showing correlations with angiograms, plethysmograms, isotope studies, and other cardiovascular methods.
