The great virtue of Adams and Maegraith's Clinical Tropical Diseases has always been its lucid and concise description of the diseases of the tropics. The new edition prepared by Prof. Brian Maegraith of the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine retains these original and important features. Included are accounts of various diseases uniquely arranged in alphabetical order with an attached appendix on vaccination; viral, bacterial, fungal, protozoal and helminthic infections get most space. Noninfectious diseases discussed include anemias in the tropics, nutritional disorders, and the effects of heat.
