Written "for clinicians concerned with the management of malignant disease," this book has three of its five chapters that are clearly pertinent to their concerns. These include Chapter 1, "Normal Immune Response in Man and its Reaction to Malignant Disease"; Chapter 3, "Immune Deficiency States Associated With Human Malignant Disease"; and Chapter 4 "Suppression of Human Immune Response." A discussion of the development of the lymphoid system from conception to old age in the first of these chapters is well presented and entirely appropriate to the purpose of the volume.
