The application of fiberoptic endoscopy to gastroenterology diagnosis has increased rapidly in recent years. There is a resulting great need for methods of teaching technical and interpretive details of endoscopy. A complete photographic interpretive atlas of the upper gastrointestinal tract would be an important teaching help; this book partially fills that role.
The book begins with very brief introductory sections describing available instrumentation and the indications and contraindications for their use. Thereafter the chapters are divided into disorders of the stomach, except for a brief glimpse at a few scattered esophageal entities.
