Under a somewhat misleading title, this report summarizes the deliberations of 13 international experts, held in 1975. It is divided into six sections including an introduction, epidemiology (incidence, diet and metabolic factors), carcinogenesis and biochemical mechanisms (animal models), pathology (morphology, cell kinetics, and cell biology), immunology (diagnostic and therapeutic), and clinical considerations (diagnosis and treatment). The authors of the various chapters are not identified. The stated intent is "to provide  the research community with a concise statement of current activities,  the practicing physician with an understanding of advances which will facilitate his management of patients and finally
