Originally growing out of the need for instructional material concerned with the technical aspects of training of physicians and fellows, this book is designed to serve as a ready reference to the physician and technician though not as an atlas. As such it fulfills its promised function admirably.
The 137 illustrations have been well chosen to demonstrate the points the author makes. The major fault is in the size of the reproductions; some are too small to be as clear as they ought to be. An example is figure 108 which purports to show discrete subaortic stenosis but is not
