Endoscopy and endoscopic procedures have received widespread professional attention chiefly because of the rapid development of fiberoptic gastrointestinal instruments in the past 20 years. Numerous texts are already available on gastrointestinal endoscopy. Dr. George Berci has compiled the first modern comprehensive text on all types of endoscopic procedures, with contributions by international experts in their specific fields. Many of the procedures and approaches are new and experimental and pertain to all organs of the body: hysteroscopy, colposcopy, aminoscopy, sinoscopy, mediastinoscopy, nephroscopy, arthroscopy, and cisternoscopy.
