It was a pleasant experience for this bedside clinician to review these two books, which deal exclusively with noninvasive diagnostic techniques. Both Dr. Benchimol and Dr. Luisada have made significant contributions to the cardiovascular literature and are renowned clinicians as well. Since these books are a reflection of their experience, they are noteworthy additions to cardiovascular literature. Dr. Benchimol's book was written for students and young physicians and was intended to elucidate the basic principles and clinical utility of noninvasive techniques in diagnostic cardiology.
