Translations of 20 classic papers from 19th and 20th century European neurology. About a third of them represent initial descriptions of disorders with great interest for a wide audience; these have to do with presenile dementia, alcoholic dementia, narcolepsy, and infectious polyneuritis (Landry and Guillain-Barré). Each group of papers is opened with a historical and biographical introduction. Illustrations and tables from the original papers are included.
