Two volumes intended to acquaint the general practitioner, internist, medical student, and resident with common neurologic problems, with first chapters in both books on the neurologic examination. Modern Practical Neurology has 16 chapters that include cerebrovascular diseases, brain and spinal cord injuries, headaches, and neuromuscular disorders, with a list of suggested readings at the end of each chapter. Neurology for the House Officer has 26 short chapters in outline form, with lists of questions and tests to determine diagnosis, lists of symptoms, and recommendations for treatment.
