Writing scientific papers is hard work, even for experienced medical authors, who are likely to know how to proceed. Novices may not even know how to start. Dr. Dirckx offers help to those novices, help with "the real problems [in preparing] a technical paper, monograph or book chapter." But, buyer beware. Dr. Dirckx has not dealt with all of the real problems, even sketchily. He has dealt primarily with only one problem: faulty prose style.
Physicians and investigators writing papers have to work their way through seven steps.
