Intended to present cardiovascular pathology to the pathology house officer and the practicing pathologist and as a supplement to the medical student's general pathology text, this book is only partially successful. The 11 chapters vary considerably in format and detail: The chapters on anatomy and embryology are detailed and well illustrated, whereas the one on physiology is sketchy and could be omitted. Noticeably absent is a chapter on methods for examining and describing the heart, a necessity for pathology house officers and practicing pathologists.
