To the editor: Having spent 15 years in a Marxist-dominated health care system, I wish to disagree with the extensive article by Dr. Waitzkin (1), for which this journal provided such a generous space in the August 1978 issue. Alarming to me is the "scientific" facade of this paper, which may hide for an unexperienced reader the notorious papier-mâché of doctrinarian citations.
Political power and economic dominance is mirrored by the health system in Marxist-dominated countries much more than in a free-market society. The class structure of a Marxist society is best exemplified by the fact that best health institutions
