Inflammation as it relates to the broad range of rheumatic diseases and various approaches to its control are reviewed in this monograph. Presented from the viewpoint of clinical and experimental pharmacology, the book is oriented to clinicians and basic clinical scientists involved with rheumatic disease. In the early chapters dealing with mechanisms of inflammation much detailed and complex information is lucidly and succinctly presented. References covering all areas discussed are generous, enabling the student or investigator to pursue various aspects of the subject more extensively.
