Gynecologic problems discussed as they occur in seven age groups: infancy and childhood, puberty and adolescence, the early reproductive period, the later reproductive years, the premenopausal and menopausal years, and in senility. Detailed operative procedures and obstetrics are not discussed. Social problems related to infertility, contraception, abortion, ectopic pregnancy, and trophoblastic disease are considered in depth. Extensive bibliographies after each chapter, although no sources published later than 1975 appear to be cited.
