The senior author, a respected clinical investigator, describes a vast clinical experience with streptococcal infections; this book is primarily directed toward the clinician, although the wealth of information would be useful to anyone interested in streptococcal infections.
The authors' style makes the book easy to read; the reader's interest is maintained by frequent references to the clinical applicability of the topic being discussed. Both the color and black-and-white photographs are drawn largely from the practice of Dr. Breese and his colleagues and represent an important addition to the clinical streptococcal literature.
Special comment should be given to the excellent chapter
