M-mode echocardiography is the subject of this monograph, which needed an editor. Although the subject is generally well covered on an introductory to intermediate level, there are many errors. The spelling errors are only irritating; however, there are areas where the text is nonsense, apparently as a result of proofreading failure (p. 152).
In many cases, the illustrations are too small, which is a common failure in echocardiography texts. Illustrations are not well placed in relation to the text discussions. Some are not marked as stated in the figure legend (Figure 13, p. 40). On p. 180 point R is
