This bibliography is designed to introduce the internist and others in clinical medicine to the rapidly expanding literature in medical ethics. This field is important but controversial. Some believe there are no answers, or so many answers, to any ethical problem that might arise in medical practice that it is impossible or futile to present "ethical" information. Despite many unresolved problems, however, the extensive literature in medical ethics reveals substantial agreement about some questions.
