Limiting the scope of this book to cerebroarterial disease of inflammatory and degenerative origin makes it a useful treatise. The discussion section is concise, well organized, and well illustrated. The text book is divided into two parts—the first, descriptive; the second, illustrative. This is somewhat distracting. It would be helpful to see examples immediately following their descriptions. Labeling of illustrations as well as indexing are minimal. The descriptive portion is well sprinkled with current references. The fact that they constantly interrupt the text interrupts one's train of thought. The single paragraph on fibromuscular hyperplasia is interrupted by seventeen references. As
