Despite the promise of the title and the early emphasis on bronchial catheterization, the major portion of this book deals with bronchography and devotes little attention to brushing. The three opening chapters discuss bronchial catheterization technique, with good sections on equipment, material, patient preparation, and the need for appreciation of detail. Bronchial dynamics, while referred to, is given superficial treatment. Good textual coverage and a profusion of clear illustrations provide conceptualization of normal and abnormal airway architecture, which must reflect the authors' wide personal experience.
