The high cost of everything has become a national obsession, with health care in the limelight because during the past 20 years these costs have risen at a rate about twice that of general inflation. This book is a report of a 2-day conference at the Harvard School of Public Health in December 1978 supported in part by the Blue Shield Association, an organization with an obvious investment in health care cost containment.
