Human genetics has become a significant body of science only within the present century, and much of its growth has been within the last 25 years. That growth, and the present scope and status of the subject, are excellently set out in this authoritative book.
The primary concern is not with medical genetics, but much of the text has great importance and implications for medical practice. Physicians will be interested in the well-documented account of new developments in human cytogenetics.
