A large proportion of these essays do concern the relation of radiologic imaging as well as the radiologist to legal processes: use of expert witnesses, the laws of evidence, direct- and cross-examination. Oddly interspersed, however, are essays on antitrust, medical corporations, and on medical malpractice insurance. Discussion of the uses of imaging to resolve legal questions ranges from battered child cases to determining the authenticity of Egyptian mummies. Useful for physicians interested in forensic medicine.
