Part I of this comprehensive review begins with basic medical evaluation. History and physical examination of the chest are discussed in unit one, and lung pathology, radiologic techniques, and pulmonary function testing in adults and children are discussed in the other units. Illustrative material is presented well and emphasis is on practical aspects of evaluation. Part II, to be published, will deal with invasive techniques, infections, allergic reactions, and electrocardiography.
