Fast progress in pharmacology makes it necessary to keep students and physicians informed of developments applied to treatment. Unfortunately new editions of this well-integrated and updated pharmacologic text cannot be presented more often. However, its appearance every 5 years is an exceptional accomplishment. This is a monumental collective work describing the clinical structure of drugs, their actions at receptor sites, clinical indications, dosage, and therapeutic and toxic effects.
