A "state of the art and science" monograph for clinicans on use of topical steroids in the upper and lower respiratory tract is timely. A multiauthored book for this purpose, however, is not efficient either in terms of money or time. The material is well presented, although there is minimal evidence that the literature was reviewed critically. The pertinent pathophysiology and pharmacology is presented clearly, followed by very practical chapters on the clinical use of topical corticosteroids.
In Chapter 5, Figure 5.7 is misleading because a continuous line is used rather than points, but the related text is accurate. This
