Rehabilitation Management of Rheumatic Conditions surveys the contributions of physiatrists, nurse practitioners and staff nurses, social workers, vocational counsellors, and podiatrists in rehabilitative care of patients with rheumatic disease. Separate chapters focus on drug therapy, complications of surgery, joint conservation, and splinting. Useful to a wide range of professionals in rheumatology.
Physiotherapy in Rheumatology is more narrowly concerned with the therapeutic methods (exercise, splinting, hydrotherapy, surgery) and with the problems of particular diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, lupus erythematosus, polymyositis, scleroderma, osteoarthritis). Addressed mainly to physiotherapists.
