A thorough survey for the layman: precautions the well or not-well person should take before starting a long trip from home—business or pleasure—of the problems peculiar to air, sea, and motor travel; to environmental hazards (altitude, heat and cold, insects and other animal risks); and syndromes (constipation, diarrhea, fever). Although not written at a professional level (lacks, for example, references on detailed points), would be useful to physicians and other health professionals needing a quick review and should be known to those occasionally called on for a recommendation for a public library.
