Three sections: how to get started in writing for a journal, outline proposed content, and put the paper together (bibliographic search, defects in prose style, and other topics); information on nursing journals including circulation, manuscript requirements, and other characteristics; and an anthology of short articles on general aspects of writing and particular details in medical writing. No attention to the relation between scientific method and the structure of paper for scientific journals. The middle section summarizing journal characteristics will be most useful; much better guides to writing for professional and scientific journals are available.
