Preservation of the species and pursuit of immortality are the major drives of human nature. For those who have given little thought to the political, social, and philosophical aspects of health and the diseases of aging, this book will serve as an adequate introduction.
Rather than providing a collection of facts on vitality or its termination theories, the authors build a framework of criticism and statistical analyses of ideas set in the matrix of their own philosophies. Although there is some redundancy in the text, the book is easy to read. Graphs are scattered throughout with statistical explanations tucked away
