A growing number of subscribers abroad, due in part to faster delivery of the Annals via the International Surface Airlift system, and a shorter press time for our Letters section, has led to a growing number of letters to the Editor being submitted for possible publication. Within the format of a monthly journal we can publish fewer letters per year than can weekly journals. To give more readers a chance to air their criticisms, addenda, recommendations, and the occasional encomium, we are going to set tighter limits on what we will accommodate in letters.
