The American Medical Association published Human Sexuality in 1972 to provide physicians with a source for improving knowledge and understanding of human sexuality. Instead of producing a revised edition of that pioneering work, a new book has been published. It has a different format, expanded content, and provides current information. Written by nine author-editors with contributions by 24 other authors, the breadth of knowledge and experience provided is extensive. With this number of contributors some repetition does occur.
